The Great Depression In The United States
Depression is a truly powerful thing. It can be emotional, physical, or metaphorically, depending on what you’re talking about. The Great Depression, being the biggest stock downfall for the United States, caused change for the better. People of the United States learned that, just because life seems good, it can change rapidly. On October 29 1929, the stock market crashed. Banks closed, and over one quarter of Americans had lost their jobs. People would line up for days just to get soup and some bread crumbs, and even still couldn’t provide for their families. People didn’t pay attention to the money at hand, which inevitably caused The Great Depression.
